What to do when a loved one passed away?
Contact the doctor immediately when your loved one passed away at home.
In case it was unnatural causes you have to contact the SAPS as well.
You have to contact the undertaker, no matter what time of the day or night, to make arrangements for them to collect the deceased from where he passed.
NB make sure you choose the undertaker of your choice to avoid extra charges when they have to collect the corpse at another funeral home.
The following documents must be ready to make arrangements;
Id document of the deceased and the informant;
The policy of the deceased from any institution must be taken with.
We will put in the claim or help you with the claim. In case of a cremation you must complete a schedule A form;
The family will pay for the schedule B form that must be completed by the doctor for consent for cremation and the cost will be between R150 to R250.

The following information are needed:

• Id document of the deceased and the informer;
• Any policies of the deceased at any institution. We will put in the claim or help the family with the claim.
• The family can choose the coffin of their choice or they can use the coffin that are included in the price advertised;
• The place, date and time where the service will be held at must be given;
• The preacher,organist and church contact details must be given;
• We can arrange for a church/chapel, preacher and organist if the family request it;
• The details that the family want to put on the funeral letter, have to be completed on the right form;
• The clothes that the corpse must be dressed in;
• The flowers that must be used on the coffin will be flowers in season;
• The family have to complete the schedule A form to give consent for cremation;
• The family have to pay the doctor for the schedule B form that he have to complete for consent for cremation.
